The iSWAB-ANML device is a non-invasive collection system that maintains the integrity of the DNA at the point of collection for samples collected in the field. The swab used for collection is discarded after collection which has shown to significantly reduce processing time, effort, and costs. The iSWAB-ANML is designed to be non-toxic and non-hazardous to enable safe and humane sample collection. The iSWAB device allows samples to be stored at room temperature for over 3 years and can yield 2-7 µg of double stranded stranded, long fragment DNA ideal for genotyping, microarray, or NGS.

Intended Use

It is a non-invasive swab-based sampling applicator for the collection of DNA from various sample types including oral, nasal, and rectal. iSWAB-ANML maintains the integrity of DNA at the point of collection for samples collected in the field. iSWAB-ANML collection kit for animals can capture samples producing high yields of double stranded, long fragmented DNA between 2-7μg (iSWAB-ANML) with <3% bacterial contamination. Intended for speciation, hereditary traits, diseases, DNA banking, parentage, forensics, and breed identification. Storage and Stability

Pre-collection: 3 years from date of manufacture between 15-30° C.
Transport temperature, post-collection: 15-30° C.
Sample stability and storage, post-collection: 60 days real-time and 3 years accelerated time. If longer storage time is required, collected samples can be stored at -20 to -80° C.
